Introduction

Nickel strip is a high-conductivity metal material manufactured through precision coil slitting, where wide raw coils are slit into narrow, dimensionally consistent strips. Typically 0.1–0.5 mm thick, finished nickel strips serve as critical conductive components across lithium battery pack assembly, consumer electronics, energy storage systems and other new energy sectors, supporting functions like tab interconnection, busbar fabrication and electrical connection. Shear knife durability directly dictates slitting line uptime, total tooling costs and long-term cut quality consistency.
